Kept Out Of The Ann Coulter Affair: For Having A Lousy Camera
17 Feb 2006
Okay, I admit it. I’m a political junkie, and sometimes this instills in me a desire to hear what the opposition has to say, no matter how much I may disagree with them.

Fayetteville Plan 2025: The Hype Is Thick
14 Feb 2006
After attending the grand opening at the Walton Arts Center of the much-advertised Fayetteville Plan 2025 week of community participation, I left a little saddened at the destiny of this little town in the hills. For all the talk of smart-growth and pedestrian friendly corridors, everyone with any sense knows that Fayetteville is going to end up a sprawled out town with a few bike lanes in the middle of an incredibly sprawled out region with little transportation and housing options besides owning a car and a house in a subdivision.

M11: Bring The Troops Home! Anti-War March and Rally
07 Feb 2006
Local communities members, the OMNI Center for Peace, Justice and Ecology, and several other organizations are organizing an anti-war march and rally in Fayetteville on March 11th. They are calling the event "M11: Bring The Troops Home!". Arkansas resident, Barbara Porchia, a mother whose son died in Iraq will be the featured speaker at the rally.

Hill Street Community Garden Forms
06 Feb 2006
The Hill Street Community Garden is a project by several Fayettevillains to create a space to produce their own food, free from chemicals, environmental destruction, and exploitation of farm workers. The site is located in Hill Street resident Larry Berry's back yard in Fayetteville. The first meeting was on Sunday, January 14th, and an inspired (and inspiring) group of people came togther to start figuring out what could be done now to get started.

Politics of Extreme Unction: Revolutionary Rights
03 Feb 2006

It was through revolution first, then societal evolution that we have become the people that we are today. Our predecessors' initial struggle included, no doubt, some form of terror against the British, or their sympathizers, before a constitution was drafted and the US became a nation of laws, "our own laws." That was America's proud march to independence and freedom.
