After reading all these comments I find it rather sad that nobody mentions the only political force which stands diametrically opposed to big brother and the ever-increasing tyranny that we face in America. That being America's largest 3rd party, the Libertarian Party (www.lp.org). They stand for the Constitution. They stand for the Bill of Rights. They stand for individual freedom and liberty. They stand against big brother and the power corruption that results from big government. They stand agaisnt the USA Patriot Act. They want to shrink the government down to Constitution size. Nearly everything the government is doing is unconstitutional and the Libertarian Party opposes it all. So please, if you want to fight this tyranny join the Libertarian Party, join the national and state party, register to vote as a Libertarian (if allowed in your state), vote for Libertarians running for office, donate any money you can afford to - this is the only way they are funded - they don't use taxpayers money to fund their campaigning like the Republicans, Democrats and even the Green Party does. Read their news articles at www.lp.org to see the things they are doing to advance individual liberty. They are the party of principle, every stance they have on the various issues are in accord with the simple Libertarian principles of individual liberty. They are on the front lines fighting for freedom. Good luck to my fellow freedom fighters! Never give up the fight, never give up hope! This is an eternal battle we are fighting; "the price of freedom is eternal vigilance" (Thomas Jefferson)
Here is the quote somebody above mentioned posting on here:
"In Germany they came first for the Communists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist. Then they came for Catholics, and I didn’t speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me, and by that time no one was left to speak up." - Martin Neimoller, who reflected upon Germany’s fall to the Nazis
