Host The Against The Wal Roadshow In Your Community

In May the Against the Wal Roadshow will be taking off from the Ozark hills to spread the word around the mid-South about the downside of Wal-Mart’s low prices and rapid expansion around the world. We will be educating communities about alternatives to Wal-Mart and encouraging folks to attend the first ever Anti-Wal-Mart Convergence which coincides with the annual Wal-Mart shareholders convention this summer in Fayetteville, AR. |

So far we have confirmed stops in Jonesboro, Nashville, Conway, and Ft. Smith. We would encourage you to host a stop also, especially if you are from TX, OK, KS, TN, and AR. In order to host the Roadshow simply e-mail againstthewal (at) gofairtrade.net as soon as possible. Then reserve a time and place and put up flyers, which we can send you, around your community. It is that simple, and it is one of the most effective ways to act locally about global problems that Wal-Mart creates. You are also more than welcome to host your own Wal-Mart teach-in at your school, union local, home, or office. Contact againstthewal (at) gofairtrade.net for assistance such as fact sheets and flyers if you wish.
Finally, everyone should make that trip to Ozarks of NorthWest Arkansas for June 5th and 6th to show the largest company ever that people are more important than corporate profits.
