A lease was signed this week to house The Crossroads Infoshop in Kansas City. The space is a little over 500 square feet and is located on the southwest corner of 1830 Locust (19th and Locust) which is in the historic crossroads district. The target date to open the store is July 2nd which is the first Friday. The store will carry a variety of radical and progressive books, shirts, and novelties. It will also serve as a space for film showings, speakers, and meetings.
Now is a critical time for support from the community to ensure the success of this project. We would like for others to feel ownership in this collective project. If you have suggestions for books you would like us to carry in the store, or distributors you would like us to purchase from, contact us. We are also in need of financial contributors for both the long term success of this project and initial starting costs. Anything you can contribute is greatly appreciated. We are seeking individuals who can commit to monthly donations of $25, $50, or $100 on a monthly basis in return for generous discounts on merchandise.
