Freedom By Duane "Raven Spirit" Marshall Can you see the cost of Freedom? It is lying on the ground Blood soaked soldier who have fought for what they believe Wounded heroes that walk our cities streets Hearts still bleeding, as they stand tall on their feet Warriors all. Those on the front lines and those supporting in the rear Can you see the need for freedom? Far away in a foreign land As a distant woman cries over her son Laying dead in the sand Can you feel the need for freedom? As you watch the evening news Fear and hatred mixed with words of war Dehumanizing the “enemy” our world leader announce with a roar Can you see those exercising their freedom? With signs held in their hands Screaming out words of protest All across the land Have you called to your spirit for freedom? Dealing with your feelings from with in To heal the lingering hurts and pains Have you felt the wings of Freedom? In every breath you take To honor those who lived and died So you can have your say Thank you to the men and women Who have heard Freedoms call You may not have served in the military For freedom requires us all Peace to those who seek peace And strength to those who receive “The Call” May the Lord and lady touch you Freedom to you all

Yes, Duane "Raven Spirit" Marshall did write this. When I added it to the site, I forgot to put that in. I wasn't trying to plagarize, that's what I get for trying to "work and play" at the same time. I've edited the article to put in his name.
