Town Hall Meeting on Civil Liberties and Security
A Town Hall Meeting on Civil Liberties and Security with Congressman Emanuel Cleaver, Law Professor David Gottlieb, and former CIA intelligence officer James Everett. Raytown City Hall, Sep. 10, 3:00 p.m.
There will be a Town Hall Meeting on Civil Liberties and Security with Congressman Emanuel Cleaver providing a forum for community members to discuss with experts the need for security and protection of our civil liberties.
The event will be moderated by Vicki Walker, former Missouri 50th District State Reprsentative and co-founder of the Midwest Center for American Values. Panel members will include: Congressman Emanuel Cleaver, Missouri 5th Congressional District Representative, pastor and former KCMO mayor; David Gottlieb, Professor of Law, University of Kansas, and nationally recognized expert in criminal law; and James Everett, former deep cover CIA intelligence officer, author of The Making and Breaking of an American Spy, and recipient of the World Citizen of the Year Award at the 2002 Mayor's Annual UN Day Dinner.
The forum will take place on Saturday, Sep. 10th, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Raytown City Hall, 10000 East 509th Street, Raytown, MO.
