Interesting comments but I disagree with your analysis of the Courts. They are probably the least-unchanged branch of government in terms of what the founders intended. The leglislation, which was meant to be composed of unbiased citizens serving short terms before returning to their farms or shops, is now packed with career politicians bought and paid for by corporate lobbyists who have to employ accent coaches to continue sounding like the people they proportedly represent. The executive branch has undergone so many expansions of power, to the point where now there is a large shadow government answerable only to the executive. I would not disparage the courts too much...unfortunately they are probably the least corrupt branch of government we've got. |
