Venezuela to stop supporting U.S. terrorism camp
Venezuela, successfully lobbied by the School of Americas Watch (an organization dedicated to shooting down the SOA/WHISC in Ft. Benning, Georgia), has agreed to stop sending soldiers to train at the former School of the Americas. The SOA has a notorious and unusual record of training dictators, terrorists, assassins, human rights abusers, torturers, drug dealers, and union persecutors. According to Father Roy Bourgeois, founder of the SOAW (which works to close the military school), the school serves as the military force of U.S., corporate, and elite policy to enforce economic interests like sweatshops and oil in Latin America. Issues surrounding the school were popularized in the 1980s due to Archbishop Oscar Romero's assassination, the rape and murder of 4 nuns, and the murder of 6 Jesuit priests and two others in 1989.

See also: www.soaw.org and www.hiddeninplainsight.org which has an excellent links page and a compassionate, left-sided, yet balanced documentary on this issue. It's the most holistic film I've seen on the issue.

Condoleezza Rice's Credibility Gap
Condy Rice is to busy appearing (and lying) on EVERY national TV political talk show, and too busy fomenting coups in Haiti and Venezuela, too too busy to appear under oath in front of the 911 Whitewash committee.....

Walmart Censors "Iraq Uncovered" film
Wal-Mart nixes 'Uncovered'
If you're looking to buy a copy of Robert Greenwald's superb documentary, "Uncovered: The Whole Truth About the Iraq War," don't go to your local Wal-Mart. Anderson Merchandising, the company that picks the movies that are sold in the retail chain, has told the distributor of the movie that the film is "unpatriotic" and inappropriate for Wal-Mart.

The decision is a huge blow to any movie's potential sales because Wal-Mart is one of the largest outlets in terms of CD and DVD sales, and is often the only retail source in smaller communities. In other words, it's a form of corporate censorship. If you want to protest Wal-Mart's decision, you can either call the company headquarters at 1-479-273-4000 email them through the website. The address for snail mail is: Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., 702 S.W. 8th Street, Bentonville, AR 72716

MO Physician's Ordeal Begins When She Treats a Prisoner Patient
Because she cared enough to take her oath seriously, her picture was posted in the Camden County Sherriff's Department and the jail - she was tailgated by officers in Camden County on more than one occasion - she was stopped for, what a jury has determined were unfounded traffic charges, forcibly removed from her vehicle and, in the process, suffered substantial physical injuries.

In rush to defend White House, Rice trips over own words
Washington -- This week's testimony and media blitz by former White House counterterrorism chief Richard Clarke has returned unwanted attention to his former boss, national security adviser Condoleezza Rice.

Democratic commission member Richard Ben-Veniste disclosed this week that Rice had asked, in her private meetings with the commission, to revise a statement she made publicly that "I don't think anybody could have predicted that those people could have taken an airplane and slam it into the World Trade Center ... that they would try to use an airplane as a missile." Rice told the commission that she had misspoken; the commission has received information that prior to Sept. 11, U.S. intelligence agencies, and Clarke, had talked about terrorists using airplanes as missiles.
