Adventures of Bushmaster: BushMaster Captures SaddamMan! |
Submitted by: Carol Pennington / 22 Dec 2003

GREAT satire, but also has tons of recent news links--and illustrates the threat to people, esp. journalists, who question the Bush administration, and shows how public opinion is manipulated through "slick" media campaigns. |

Submitted by: Tom Klammer / 19 Dec 2003

ANDREW NATSIOS, administrator of the Agency for International Development, the lead agency that is responsible for rebuilding the infrastructure of Iraq. Mr. Natsios was manager of Boston's "Big Dig," the largest public works project in American history. (The "Big Dig", by Bechtel, had huge cost overruns). The interview with the reference to a woefully inadequate promised estimate of $1.7 Billion cost to tax payers (remember that $87 Billion congressional handout??) WAS on the USAID website, but they scrubbed it off. Here is what they removed. |

Submitted by: tk / 17 Dec 2003

Let Them Eat Pepper Spray |

While smartass Pitch writers bemoan the spinelessness of protesters today, the police state atmosphere surrounding almost every outburst of free speech grows. Miami protesters who spoke out against the FTAA were greeted with $8.5 million in "preventative measures" designed to cower the most mild-mannered Americans into submission. |

Which Democrat Has Political Courage? |
Submitted by: tk / 11 Dec 2003
Publisher: National Review - linked at Free Press

It was perhaps a measure of the strangeness of last night's Democratic debate that Rep. Dennis Kucinich, the candidate who wants to withdraw from Iraq and create a Department of Peace, kicked Ted Koppel's ass.
